Eighth Annual I Love My Park Day

Eighth Annual I Love My Park Day

Saturday, May 4, 2019 - 9:30am to 3:00pm

Volunteers are invited to join the Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct in celebration of New York State’s I Love My Park Day.

They will work with expert naturalists and State Parks crew members to improve the Aqueduct’s plant life by removing invasive plants, lopping tree-strangling vines, planting native species and restoring its crumbling stone walls. Meet on the Aqueduct Trail where it intersects with Quaker Bridge Road in Croton-on-Hudson. (Look for the white canopy and volunteer parking signs between houses 124 and 99 on Quaker Bridge Road.) Bring lunch and consider wearing long pants, a long-sleeved shirt and a hat. Water, coffee, snacks, gloves, T-shirts, tools & bug stuff provided.

Register in advance at https://aqueduct.org/events/i-love-my-park-day or just show up!

Inquiries: Diane Alden, daldenpc@bestweb.net or 914-941-8536.
