Dark Side of Nature

In July, the Keeper’s House hosted an unforgettable evening of fireside storytelling by David Neilsen. As the sun set and the glow of campfire flames mingled with the warm light of watermelon lanterns, guests were drawn into eerie tales exploring The Dark Side of Nature. Fresh watermelon drinks in hand, they enjoyed the cool night air in the backyard while Neilsen, employing the timeless and universal art of storytelling, transported his audience to worlds of tangled, haunted gardens, dangerous forest beasts, and vengeful trees defying human tools and ambition. It was an evening that was both thought-provoking and delightfully chilling.
