“Managing A Safe & Reliable Water Supply”
The Friends of the Old Croton Aqueduct will present New York City’s Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Rohit Aggarwala as the honored speaker at our upcoming Annual Meeting.
The Commissioner is also NYC’s Chief Climate Officer and part of the founding team at Sidewalk Labs—Google’s urban technology startup. As Chief Climate Officer, he led the development of New York City’s most recent sustainability plan, PlaNYC. He is an adjunct professor at Columbia University and holds a PhD, MBA, and BA from Columbia and an MA from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
Doors open at 2pm and Commissioner Aggarwala will speak at 3pm. Food, drink plus news about the trail and the tunnel will be plentiful. We will also showcase our trail work, youth education efforts, walks and tours, and our attention to erasing graffiti in 2025. Newly designed merchandise, including tee shirts with an eyecatching trail map emblazoned on the back – will be available for purchase.
