Press Release: Proposed LG Building Would Mar Palisades, Image Shows

Englewood Cliffs, N. J. – July 30, 2013 – Today, Protect the Palisades released visual simulations taken from the George Washington Bridge showing that LG's proposed 143-foot tower would destroy the Palisades vista. The images, which provide “Before” and “After” views, stand in stark contrast to LG's claims to the contrary.

LG has claimed that the building would barely be visible and only “peek” above the treeline. In fact, as can be seen in the images, the building would tower more than 60 feet above the treeline and would be four times higher than the 35 foot height limit that has been respected by adjoining municipalities for years.

"These photos will clear up much of the misinformation that has been circulated by LG," said Hayley Carlock, an attorney for Scenic Hudson, Inc., one of the founding members of Protect the Palisades. “They show that the proposed tower will rise well above the tree line in this unspoiled sweep of parkland north of the George Washington Bridge.”
