Weirs to Beers: Ossining & The Aqueduct

Weirs to Beers: Ossining & The Aqueduct

Saturday, March 16, 2019 - 10:30am

We start and end on a wooded trail – but in between, expect Sing Sing village tales, close Hudson River views from Crawbuckie Park, a stroll through the rocky gorge of Sing Sing Kill and a neat microbrewery (almost) at walk’s end. Six miles, 3 hours (excluding the brewery), some hills. Wear hiking boots and bring water. This hike is for people who walk fairly regularly. No bathrooms except at the brewery. Rain and snow cancel.

Meet at 10:30 am sharp in the REAR parking lot of Scarborough Presbyterian Church, 655 Scarborough Road, Briarcliff Manor, NY  10510.  Please do not park in the main church parking lot!  Their parking lot is off Route 9 (a/k/a S. Highland Avenue), Briarcliff Manor. From Route 9 turn into Marlborough Road (a smallish road just south of Sparta Cemetery and just north of the Church). The lot is the first right turn off Marlborough.  Tour leader is Lesley, cell 914-671-7112, please text only.
