Free, small group, open-air, 4-mile/3.5 hour (total) loop hike. Meet at NE corner of Mercy College’s Dobbs Ferry campus at 555 Broadway (Route 9) (free parking). We will walk north, and view (but not enter) Nevis, the home of a son of Alexander Hamilton, the Octagon House, the 60-foot high Aqueduct embankment over Station Road, the Tiffany Room, and the mansions of Madam C.J. Walker and Jay Gould (Lyndhurst). Learn the history of the Old Croton Aqueduct and the millionaires who lived along the trail from the mid-1800’s to early 1900’s. Short uphill walk from the MTA Hudson Line Ardsley-on-Hudson train Station. Required: pre-registration (limited number); masks, and social distancing.
