A Call to Action: Protecting Nature's Biodiversity

A Call to Action: Protecting Nature's Biodiversity

Friday, November 15, 2019 - 10:00am to 3:30pm

A one-day event at The New York Botanical Garden

Join us to learn from the experts what you can do in your own backyards and in your neighborhoods to be part of the change that is so urgently needed – and be inspired to take specific actions to make a difference!

During the afternoon session, from 1:30-3:30pm, The Friends' own Diane Alden will be part of the Lower Hudson PRISM Partner Showcase in which 8 of the 50 current PRISM partners will describe the efforts they are making in the region to manage invasive species and restore with native plants.    Diane will describe what she and her colleagues and neighbors have been doing for the last eight years on the northern section of the Aqueduct Trail and about the newest initiative to expand to other areas of the Trail.  She will invite you to take up the challenge in your own neighborhoods and offer resources for doing so.
