As part of NY State Heritage Weekend, descend into original 1842 brick water tunnel and learn its history. Meet at 11 AM. Bring lunch and water. Explore scenic Croton Gorge Park at base of Croton Dam’s spectacular spillway (5 miles roundtrip). Directions: from Rte. 9 in northern Ossining turn east across from Mystic Point sign onto Old Albany Post Rd., following road sign for Quaker Bridge Rd. as well.
